This VDP. GROSSE LAGE lies at the heart of the Reiterpfad in Ruppertsberg and is planted with our dense planting of Burgundian Pinot varieties, which we planted back in 2009. Soils characterised by sandstone and limestone and the sheltered location at the foot of the Haardt make this site outstanding for Pinot Noir. The wine has a light ruby red colour with light violet reflections. Fragrant and elegant with aromas of dark plum and preserved cherries on the nose, it continues ethereally floating on the palate. Finely woven tannins and juicy cherry flavours carry it to great length. This is Pinot Grand Cru!
